Stavros is one of the finest examples of a trehantiri, wooden boats renowned for their stability, seaworthiness, and grace. Traditionally built as fishing boats, Stavros is a rare beauty that was designed solely for its owner’s cruising pleasure.
Stavros was awarded the Concours d’ elegance by the Yacht Club of Greece in 2021, one of only six boats to win this distinction since the club was founded in 1933. Stavros’ elegant silhouette also caught the eye of a Hollywood casting director in 2021 — and landed a starring role in a movie shot on the island of Spetses. Stavros has also featured in video clips.

Behind the mint vintage exterior, Stavros is powered by state-of-the-art technology. Two Rolls Royce engines ensure a smooth ride in complete safety.
Stavros travels at a relaxed cruising speed of 9 knots and can travel up to 250 nautical miles without stopping to refuel. The sails can be rigged for fair-weather sailing adventures. The tender is an inflatable RIB that holds 6 passengers.
Stavros comfortably sleeps 7 guests in 3 air-conditioned cabins: a master cabin with a double and single bed and ensuite bathroom, and two twin cabins that share a bathroom. Two additional guests can be accommodated on banquettes at a wheelhouse. Younger guests usually prefer to sleep on the giant mattress on the deck lounge, shaded by an awning.
The attentive crew prepare breakfast, snacks, and light meals throughout the day. The kitchen may be small, but it can cater for picnics, aperitivos, cocktail parties, and celebrations. A portable barbeque can be set up for a moonlit feast on a deserted cove.

The Crew
After travelling the world in the merchant navy, Captain Giorgos Sarantos made a profession of his passion for sailing. He soon graduated to a stunning J Class, 36-metre yacht, a byword for romance and elegance. Captain Yorgos has skippered several historic boats built by renowned shipyards, such as a 71-foot Abeking & Rasmussen yacht and a 122-foot Camper & Nicholson. He has taken part and been awarded in many traditional boat races. He has been a licenced sailing instructor since 1986. He has a passion for vintage wooden boats and is dedicated to preserving their incredible artistry.
His mate Haris Tzanetos has years of experience sailing the Mediterranean. Prior to joining Stavros, he spent his summers delivering sailing boats and his winters dealing with their maintenance. He holds a Sailing Yacht Licence.
The crew sleep in separate quarters in the kitchen cabin. When Stavros is not at sea, they spend every waking moment maintaining her immaculate condition.
